FM Cubed®: Reliable. Expandable. Affordable.

"Once your FM Cubed® downlink site has been installed, it’s virtually maintenance free"

FM Cubed Dishes

In business, being effective means being reliable. And FM Cubed® data transfer service is especially reliable because SpaceCom uses its own teleport in Monee, Illinois to uplink a multitude of digital channels on Telstar 5. These channels are time division multiplexed and modulated using a private transmission configuration to offer unrivalled satellite transmission and efficiency.

Accessibility

Digital feeds are broadcast to the to the Continental U.S., southern Canada, northern Mexico and, “offshore coverage” to the Caribbean, Hawaii, and southern Alaska at an amazing 99.90% to 99.99% availability. These extremely accessible feeds can transmit real-time data at rates from 1.2 to 115.2 kilobytes per second. In the event that you do have a problem with your service, SpaceCom offers 24/7 tech support to keep your business up and running.

Extra Security

For added security, you can opt for redundancy services. “Second Live Satellite” transmits your data simultaneously on a secondary satellite; Galaxy IVR, to ensure your ability to downlink should there be a problem with your primary feed. For even more security, SpaceCom offers optional “Disaster Recovery Second Teleport” uplinking service to one or both satellites from teleport in Irving, Texas.

Upgrades by Remote

With the constant advances in technology, the need for upgrading is a regular concern. With most systems, you must send a tech to modify your receiver or replace it. Not so with FM Cubed®. Spacecom’s unique modulation system offers remotely upgradeable data rates from 1.2 to 115.2kb/sec. Without setting foot in the field, SpaceCom technicians are also able to remotely configure the interface standards between RS-232, 422, 423, or V.35.

Extremely Low Cost

The low cost benefit of FM Cubed® makes it a notable ally of the growing network. The entire hardware system (space saving antenna, receiver, and LNB) can be purchased for an extremely low cost of under $800 per site. Combine this with SpaceCom’s competitively priced space segment and you have very cost-effective networks. Added sites require a one-time only hardware fee. It is easy to see why leading data providers in the paging, weather, financial and news data businesses have been using FM Cubed® for almost a decade.
