Sun transit Fades for geosynchronous satellites occur when the sun crosses the earth's equatorial plane during the spring and fall equinoxes. Information includes a calculator tool for predicting sun fadees in your area.
This utility is provided in order to get coordinates needed when aligning a satellite antenna (dish) to a satellite for the purpose of receiving a signal. As well as instructions, two calculators are provided: one for those who know their coordinates, and another for those who do not.
Even the most reliable satellite communications technology can sometimes be out-matched by the forces of nature. Its a phenomenon known as rain fade or rain attenuation a weakening of the satellite signal as it passes through raindrops. Included with this information are maps and tables.

and FM Quad for the regions of the United States (including Alaska
and Hawaii), Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
